What you actually get.
Every feature GetHaulDirect ships, with the operational detail behind it. No platform-buzzword soup. If a thing isn't on this page, we don't do it.
Flat 5% platform fee
One disclosed fee on the shipper line — no subscription, no per-search charge, no quick-pay surcharge, no spread baked into the carrier's rate. The shipper pays the rate they posted plus 5%; the carrier sees that exact rate. Nothing is hidden between the two parties. On $200K of annual freight, the math beats both subscription load boards and traditional broker margins (typically 13–25% spread).
Auto-match in minutes
When a load is posted, the matching engine routes a one-tap offer to carriers whose active geography, equipment type, and rate-per-mile fit the lane. The first carrier to accept gets it. There's a 60-second acceptance window — if it expires, the offer cascades to the next-best carrier. No bidding, no negotiating, no calling around.
Real-time GPS tracking
Active shipments push driver position to the platform every 30 seconds. Shippers see a live map of where the load is, the route remaining, and ETA based on OSRM routing. Status transitions (driving to pickup → loading → in transit → unloading → delivered) are visible to both parties in real time.
Stripe Connect escrow
Funds are charged from the shipper at acceptance time and held in Stripe Connect escrow until POD upload. On POD: 95% releases to the carrier's Stripe Connect account, 5% routes to the platform as application_fee_amount, and ACH typically lands in the carrier's bank in two business days. Standard payout window — no premium tier, no quick-pay charge.
FMCSA pre-screened carriers
Every carrier is screened against the FMCSA SAFER snapshot at registration: USDOT and MC numbers must match an active operating authority. Carriers without active authority can't complete onboarding. The matching engine reads the verification flag — only verified carriers receive offers.
Sumsub identity KYC
Carrier reps complete Sumsub Web SDK identity verification — government ID plus a live selfie — before they can accept their first load. Bank-level identity check. Usually clears within 24 hours, often within minutes if the document quality is clean. The same identity-verified person signs the Broker-Carrier Agreement (49 CFR § 371) electronically.
What's deliberately not here
- No public load board — shippers see only their own loads, carriers see only the offers the engine routes them.
- No bidding or counter-offer flow — shipper sets the rate, carrier accepts, or it expires to the next carrier.
- No factoring product — carriers receive ACH directly via Stripe Connect, two business days post-POD.
- No multi-stop or LTL consolidation — full-truckload only, single pickup and single delivery.
- No cross-border freight — US domestic only, all 48 contiguous states + AK + HI.
Post your first load. Pay 5% when it delivers. Zero until then.
