No. Shippers sign up with email or phone only , you don't need DOT, MC, or any FMCSA registration. DOT and MC are carrier-side requirements screened against FMCSA before a carrier can be offered your load; the insurance certificate is collected and reviewed, not screened automatically.
Before a carrier can accept their first load we cross-check their DOT and MC against FMCSA SAFER, and a carrier without active operating authority , or with an out-of-service order , is never matched to a load. That verification is a stamp on the account, not a live reading: the check is re-run weekly and anything that has lost authority since sign-up is reported to an administrator, who decides what to do with the account, so a revocation is not self-enforcing. We also ask every carrier for an ID + selfie liveness check and a current COI and W-9, and a person reviews them , but today those three are prompts and dashboard blockers, not automatic gates on accepting a load or on being paid. If that matters to your freight, ask us for the carrier file before the truck is dispatched.

Stripe Connect settles to the carrier's bank two to three business days after delivery is confirmed with a POD upload. No factoring company. No 3 % quick-pay fee. Ninety-five percent of the posted rate lands directly in the carrier account.
Payments sit in Stripe escrow, not our bank , disputes flow through Stripe's standard chargeback protection. For operational issues (late pickup, wrong dimensions, damage claim) the support button on any page opens a ticket in the ops inbox; support@gethauldirect.com reaches the same queue.
